The 86th Oaks Stakes took place on Friday 27th May 1864 and was won by Fille De L'Air (6/4 fav), by Faugh-A-Ballagh out of Pauline trained by Tom Jennings, who won by 1/2 length in 2 mins 47 secs. The winner won £5,025 (Equivalent to £582,900 in 2017) and there were 19 runners.
